Free Member: A free member is a basic member who joins your website. Free members have limited access to your site and are required to upgrade their accounts to full membership status in order to use the full range of features of your website. Free members are also referred to as member joins and basic members.
Upgrades: An upgrade occurs when a free member pays to use the full range of features of your website and becomes a full member. This is classed as a conversion. I.e. A free member converts to full membership status.
Full Member: A full member is a member on your site who has upgraded their account to use the full features of your website. This user can send and read messages on your website, view adult content (adult sites only), use the instant messenger facilities, and access the chat room (dating sites only).
Rebill: When a member joins your website and becomes a full member, the member selects a subscription duration of either 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 months. Member subscriptions automatically renew after the period of time they subscribe for until the member cancels their subscription to your website. Note: 12 months subscriptions never renew and are classed as a one off payment.
Chargeback: Chargeback’s are upgrades that have been contested by the card holder. When a credit/debit card holder contests a payment (legitimately or otherwise) the bank automatically deducts this amount from our account until the issue has been resolved. More info on chargeback’s can be found here.
Refunds: Refunded payments occur as a result of fraudulent transactions, as a result of a profile not meeting our profile terms and conditions guidelines or due to administration or system error. DIY-Dating will under these circumstances refund the upgrade and in some circumstances remove the account in question from the website.
Renewal: A renewal occurs when a member of your site decides to upgrade their account again. Example: A person joins as a free member and joins for 3 months and then cancels their membership. 6 months later they decide to upgrade again. It is this and any subsequent upgrades that are classed as a renewal.
