I am not seeing any changes to my website when I apply a new design or make changes. What's wrong?
This is quite a common question, but don't worry, nothing is broken and you have not done anything wrong. When you make changes to the website and view the page you are looking at an older version of the page, this is called a “cached page”, cached pages are used to reduce loading times of web pages and chances are if you are using AOL as your internet service provider you will be looking at a cached page and wondering why you cant see the changes to your DIY-Dating website.
The way to fix this is to change the settings of your computers internet browser so that you obtain the latest version of web pages. The main problem is that this feature is located in different places depending on what browser you are using, however you will find instructions below for some of the more common browsers.
Internet Explorer 7
If you right click on the panel at the top of the browser and click on menu bar, this will give you access to the tools menu. Select tools and then go to internet options, on the general tab select settings under browser history select check for newer versions of stored pages "every time I visit the webpage".
FireFox
Type about:config into your firefox browser and go to browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and set it to 1
You may also find that emptying your temporary internet files may solve this problem, if you are unable to solve this problem please contact support.
